Skin Preparation

To ensure optimal results and minimise risks, please follow these guidelines:

• Avoid Accutane for 6 months prior to treatment

• Avoid retinoids, exfoliants, topical antibiotics and acids for 5–7 days before treatment

• Avoid anti-inflammatory medications (ibuprofen, Motrin, Advil) for at least 3 days prior

• Avoid IPL/laser treatments, sunburn or unprotected sun exposure for 2 weeks prior

• No waxing, depilatory creams or electrolysis to the area for 5–7 days prior

• Do not shave on the day of treatment (if needed, shave the day before)

• If prone to cold sores, commence an antiviral medication 2 days before and on the day of treatment
